CV questions

Files, languages, feedback and where your CV text goes. Pick a question below.

What does Banana CV do?

Banana CV turns the text of your resume into an AI-generated roast in English or Malayalam. It mixes jokes about your CV with suggestions about wording, skills, experience and evidence for your claims.

Which file types can I use?

Use a PDF, DOCX or TXT file between 500 bytes and 5 MB. PDFs need readable text: a scanned image without a text layer will not work. If a file cannot be read, export it as DOCX or plain text and try again.

Can I get a roast in Malayalam?

Yes. Choose English or Malayalam before generating your roast. You can change the language and generate another result from the same CV.

Does the AI see my resume layout?

The tool sends extracted text to the AI, rather than a picture of your document. It can comment on the text and its order, but it cannot reliably assess the visual layout, fonts or spacing of your original file.

Where does my resume text go?

Your browser reads the file. When you request a roast, its extracted text and your selected language are sent to the Banana CV server endpoint. The server uses Google Gemini, or an OpenRouter model when the fallback is configured and needed. These providers process the text to generate a response.

Is this a recruiter review or an ATS score?

The roast is generated by AI for entertainment and editing ideas. It is not a recruiter review or a measured applicant tracking system score. Check its observations against your actual CV before making changes.

How should I use the feedback?

Look for comments that identify a specific sentence or claim. Replace vague duties with clear actions and outcomes, add accurate numbers where you have them, and remove repeated filler. Keep your experience truthful, even when the roast suggests a stronger line.
